E-commerce customs clearance

Customs clearance for e-commerce parcels

Customs clearance for e-commerce parcels

Selling online to customers in Poland means thousands of small parcels, each requiring a customs declaration. Handling that volume one declaration at a time is slow and expensive. We have built a consolidated clearance process in which large batches of B2C parcels are cleared together, without holding goods at the border longer than necessary.

The service is designed for sellers and marketplaces shipping to individual customers in Poland, and for logistics operators who need a customs partner on the Polish side of the border.

We handle more than parcels going to private customers. We also clear B2B consignments — goods bound for warehouses, fulfilment centres and stores, including stock replenishment for sellers trading online in Poland.

We are connected to the AIS e-Commerce (HUB) system of the Polish National Revenue Administration and file customs declarations through direct electronic communication with it, under an authorisation from the Ministry of Finance. This is the formal and technical basis of the whole service — without it, handling such volumes collectively would not be possible.

VAT, customs duty and the IOSS procedure

Since 1 July 2021 all goods imported into the European Union are subject to VAT regardless of value — the earlier low-value exemption was withdrawn. For consignments with an intrinsic value of up to EUR 150 the IOSS procedure is available, under which VAT is accounted for at the point of sale and clearance uses a reduced dataset.

We work with sellers registered for IOSS and with those accounting for VAT under the standard rules. We agree the right procedure with you before we start, based on how your sales are structured.

Customs duty is a separate matter. The duty relief for consignments with a value of up to EUR 150 is being withdrawn from 1 July 2026 — from that date the duty obligation will also cover consignments previously exempt. VAT remains due on the existing terms, independently of this change.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be registered for IOSS?

No. We work with sellers registered for IOSS and with those accounting for VAT under the standard rules. We agree the right procedure with you before we start, based on how your sales are structured.

What data do you need and when?

You send parcel data as a batch file before the goods reach the border. We verify data completeness and tariff classification ahead of clearance, so the goods are not held up on arrival.

Do you only clear shipments to private customers?

No. Besides B2C parcels we also clear B2B consignments — goods bound for warehouses, fulfilment centres and stores, including stock replenishment for online sellers.

Which transport modes do you cover?

Rail and road freight, cleared at the customs offices in Biała Podlaska and Małaszewicze.

What does the connection to AIS e-Commerce (HUB) give me?

We file customs declarations through direct electronic communication with the system of the Polish National Revenue Administration, under an authorisation from the Ministry of Finance. That is what makes it possible to handle high volumes together rather than one declaration at a time.
